Blazers Open Season with 6-4 Win Over Spokane Chiefs

The Kamloops Blazers kicked off their 2025-26 WHL regular season at home with a 6-4 victory against the Spokane Chiefs. The night featured standout performances from J.P. In the second period, Kamloops surged ahead. Isa Guram scored, followed by Hurlbert’s power-play goal, and Cooper Moore added a shorthanded strike to make it 5-2.

Chiefs Rally Late

Spokane fought back in the third, with goals from Coco Armstrong and Gavin Burcar narrowing the gap to 5-4. But with less than a minute left, Owen Cooper buried an empty-netter to lock in the Blazers’ season-opening win.
